Job Opportunity: Sports Trainer
The Sandringham Dragons Football Club are recruiting sports trainers to join the medical team for the 2022 season.
Founded in 1991 the Sandringham Dragons Football Club competes in the AFL NAB League. Located in the Kingston Council that operates out of an elite facility at the Moorabbin Park Oval (RSEA Park) which also houses the St Kilda FC.
The aim of the Sandringham Dragons Football Club is to be a successful Club on and off the field providing development for our Players and Staff.
We are seeking experienced Sports Trainers for our NAB League Boys and Girls programs for the upcoming 2022 season. The successful applicants will be rostered as part of a team of trainers and must be available to attend training sessions (up to 3 sessions per week) and match day on either Saturday or Sunday.
Job Opportunity: Sports Trainer
Reporting to: Head Physiotherapist and Head Trainer
Job Purpose: The Sports Trainer will assist the Medical Team in providing comprehensive treatment and services to the players of the Sandringham Dragons Football Club.
Duties: Will include but are not limited to providing strapping/taping, first aid, massage, and management of minor injuries.
Requirements: Must hold or have willingness to attain a Sports Trainer certification which requires a current First Aid Certificate. Applicants must also hold a valid working with children’s card.
Desirable: Hold or in the process of completing a Diploma of remedial massage therapy.
Renumeration: The position is paid by hourly rate, plus some penalties.
